Support our Charities

Our Vicar, Diana, is undertaking a walk along The Pennine Journey which is a 247-mile circular trail based on a walk taken by Alfred Wainwright in 1938 and described by him in a book published in 1986.

Rev’d Diana will start and finish the journey in Hexham, in order to raise funds for the churches in our diocese who support local charities.The walk takes place between the 16th of June and 5th of July, and we are hoping that local people will donate to these very worthy causes and support Diana’s amazing efforts.

Every little counts, and, even in these tough times we hope you can donate for those less fortunate than ourselves, to whom life has dealt a tough hand? Please support this amazing effort!

We are attempting to raise £1500+ for St James Church, Riding Mill, plus the churches of Healey and Slaley – which, at the end of the year shares the money raised from this (plus Jumble sales, raffles, and other Fund Raising initiatives) between 3 selected Local Charities.
