Sharing the Practice of Faith – our Lent Course finding common ground across beliefs

A 5-week small group study for Lent 2024, meeting in person at 10.30 (coffee) for 11am (start) in the Church Cottage

on Thursdays 15th, 22nd, 29th February and 14th, 21st March.

Thu 15th FebruarySession 1 Stilling and meditative prayer – a common way of spiritual exercise (Buddhism)  
Thu 22nd FebruarySession 2 Fasting – a shared heritage of spiritual discipline (Islam)  
Thursday 29th FebruarySession 3 Pilgrimage  – a shared spiritual experience for both secular and religious people today [visiting speaker from the Islamic tradition]  
Thursday 7th MarchRest Day – no meeting  
Thursday 14th MarchSession 4 “What did Admiral Nelson know that also animated the Beatles?” Karma and Kismet; Resurrection and Reincarnation (Hinduism)  
Thursday 21st MarchSession 5 The Passover – Our Common Heritage (Judaism)
